Dani and Elle stayed with a friend of Dani's for the night (Thank you Lisa!). We opted to stay the night so that we wouldn't have the long drive back late at night. We stayed at the Shangri La. Since we arrived in Abu Dhabi around 2 we decided to take a drive around the city, then back to the hotel to enjoy the amenities a bit. Had a few beers poolside. Hotel beer is much cheaper in Abu Dhabi... good to know. Later we coned our way into the Palace hotel to get a quick bite to eat just before the concert. Then off to the concert. We get there and they are out of wrist bands (which designate the type of ticket that you purchased and where you can sit) - typical Dubai crap. But Larry worked some magic and got us VIP wristbands. The VIP section looked pretty nice, however, we opted to hang with our friends near the stage. Coldplay was AMAZING! It poured down rain which is VERY unusual for here. It was actually pretty darn cool to watch them playing with lightening in the background and rain pouring down.
