We did a little shopping, rented scooters and putzed around the island, ate dinner at a nasty pizza place, then decided that mom should get a tattoo. We found a place near our hotel. Wanted to get something Thai, while pondering Larry suggested Live, Laugh, Love in Thai, perfect! So the artist worked it up and then the tattoo guy went to work.
Afterwards we had a relaxing afternoon by the pool. Larry and I had 5 beers each and the girls had 2 milk shakes and some snacks. The total bill was only $28. Good times!
The van picked us up at 6:45 for the hour long treck to the airport. We had a quick dinner and then off to Bangkok. Lots of walking at the Bangkok airport but finally made it to the Emirates Lounge. At 2am we headed for the plane. Landed around 6am something. Went to duty free and then headed for home.
Spent the day unpacking, cleaning and doing laundry. Now to get adjusted to this time zone so that we can stay awake for New Year's Eve.
