Spring Break in Italy - Day 3&4 Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri

We left Rome early on day 3 to head to Pompeii. It's incredible how well preserved the city is and it's HUGE. You could tour Pompeii and the other archaeological sites nearby for days.

They've replanted some of the plants that were there when Mount Vesuvius erupted. Some of the most well preserved bodies where very close to this vineyard.

Later that day we walked around our hotel area and Sorrento. The hotel clerk recommended a great local restaurant who came to pick us up at the hotel and brought us home - how cool is that. The food was wonderful. Below are some views from our hotel and the beach. The hotel had an elevator that went down to the beach (which was a long way down). We collected a ton of sea glass.

The next day we took the ferry to Capri. There are very few cars on Capri, most of the streets are walking only.

When we got back from Capri we stumbled upon a great bar. We ate and drank. Dani had her first beer - a baby beer as the bar tender called it. It was pretty funny. We had a very nice time just hanging out and laughing. It's great when you kids get old enough to hang out without getting bored.

Larry showing his big beer and Dani's baby beer. Elle tasting the beer - she hates it.

Sorrento at night.
