Spring Break in Italy - Day 5 Assisi

Assisi - One of the coolest stops on the trip, but they were all so wonderful. We stayed in a old farm house that was over 400 years old. Assisi was the birthplace of St. Francis, who founded the Franciscan religious order in the town in 1208, and St. Clare (Chiara d'Offreducci), the founder of the Poor Clares. Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows of the 19th century was also born in Assisi. (taken from Wikipedia)

Elle at dinner. The girls ordered lemon gelato and it came in a big lemon. It was very good. This was our cheapest dinner on the trip and Larry and I both drank a lot. The restaurant was at a camp ground and came highly recommended by our hotel. It was even better than she said. We loved it.

This is a church with a little church inside. They built around the old church because they didn't want to tear it down. It was where Saint Franci
